Saving Lives One Cat at a Time
Since 2019

Who We Are
Oakland TNR Coalition is a 100% volunteer-run, grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of cats in Oakland, Pittsburgh, and the surrounding communities through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), rescue, rehabilitation, and education.
Founded in 2019, we began as a small group of passionate volunteers determined to tackle the city’s growing community cat crisis. Today, we continue that mission by supporting compassionate, sustainable solutions for cats living outdoors and the people who care for them.
Our mission is to provide proper vet care for feral, stray, homeless, and abandoned cats through the method of TNR, to socialize and rehabilitate rescued cats, to place rescued cats into forever homes, to educate and promote cat rescue and animal welfare, and to educate the public on the importance of the Trap, neuter, Release program, and proper community cat colony management.
Need help with a stray or feral cat within the City of Pittsburgh?
Fill out our form below to tell us more about the situation. Our team of volunteers will review your request and get back to you as soon as we can.
Please note: we’re only able to assist with outdoor, unowned cats within city limits.
